What’s It Worth, Palm Springs?
A New Local TV Production.
Dali Productions is introducing a new concept to the Saturdays @ Canyon Plaza South Open Air Market: “What’s It Worth – Palm Springs?”, a new TV Show fashioned after the popular public television program "Antique Road Show". The format of the show will be similar to the Antique Road Show in that people bring their antiques, collectables or oddities to the open air market and have it appraised while being televised. The show will be shot at the market in Cathedral City.
So far, the pilot and the first show have been filmed. Judging by the reaction of those involved and watching, it was a good deal of fun. Already some really interesting items have come to light – ranging across the spectrum from film memorabilia (an impressive John Waters collection), through more traditional collectables and bric a brac to some, well, rather "unusual" items. At present, shooting is scheduled for alternate Saturdays, usually at 10:30am, commencing on Saturday, January 2nd. Check the News section here for further information.
The show will be broadcast on a number of local channels commencing on Saturday, 9th January, 2010. A schedule of show times is posted here.
So maybe it’s time to take another look at that rocking chair you’ve got tied to the top of the truck. Who knows, you may be in for a nice surprise. For those who are interested, please call (760) 832 9690 or submit an entry form directly from here. TV stardom beckons!
